Feather, Cotto Lombardo

Feather, Cotto Lombardo

Terracotta sculpture with mixed clays

It is part of the artist's philosophy as one of the most important symbols that represent him, an element that creates a contact between the earthly and the otherworldly, between earth and space, between fullness and emptiness .
It is part of the "Feathers' Philosophy". 'The feather' as a symbol of our time, tacit and silent announces the fragility of our state, it is the mirror of an evolved and fragile human personality . Emulacrum of the 'Carpe Diem', a principle expressed in a surrealist form that communicates the condition of today's man, sums up the importance of the concept of 'time' which conditions every factor of our life and our destiny.
Archetype of in-depth studies on the state of existence, which are the basis of his production, is represented by the artist in marble, bronze or terracotta.

This is a unique work of art (limited series), entirely handmade in Italian terracotta with the Cotto Lombardo technique. The origin of its material: a sculpture made of clay and earth from Lake Como and Brianza.
